Welcome to
Cordova Junior/Senior High School
A Message from the Principal

Dear Students and Parents:

It’s going to be an exciting new year at Cordova Junior/Senior High School.  We welcome a new class of seventh graders and several new teachers and support staff members.  We will be exploring new ways to bring community experts into our schools and send our students out to explore the community.  As your new principal, it is a privilege to take part in the proud traditions of Cordova Jr./Sr. High, and I look forward to working with you as we move into the 2013-2014 school year.

We believe that school should be a safe, productive, fun environment for students and a welcoming place for parents.  The Parent-Student handbook outlines the policies that have been established to protect and promote this positive environment.  Please familiarize yourself with these policies and procedures.  The first page is to be signed by the student and parents then returned to the office for our records.

Students will want to return to these pages as a reference as we work through the school year.  Look ahead at the other reference sections of your planner as well—they will save you time and help you make plans for a productive future.  The planner pages will serve as a way to keep track of due dates and plan your work on major goals and projects.  They will also serve as a record to look back on, a diary of your activities and accomplishments.  Get involved and make this a great year.

Parents are encouraged to take an active role in their child’s education this year.  Visit the school, consider joining the Site Council or Booster Club, and support us at arts or athletic events.  Talk to your child about school, and keep in touch with the teachers.  Give me a call or stop by my office; I look forward to meeting you.  Let’s all work together to have a great new year at Cordova Junior/Senior High.

Best wishes,
Tim Fraychineaud
Principal
