Welcome to the Cordova Schools’ Website. Thank you for visiting us on the Web! Cordova Schools is proud of its students and staff, as is the entire community of Cordova. As you peruse our site, please note the efforts underway to engage all parts of the community in the responsibility of educating our children. The newly implemented “Powerschool” is an example of the district’s efforts to increase communications among all the educational stakeholders, especially parents, students and staff. Our site is also an excellent source for current employment opportunities, media releases, and patron newsletters.
Follow our “Wolverines” with the activities schedules, as they compete statewide, or simply take a virtual tour of our schools, the many teacher’s websites, and the many projects we are currently undertaking.
Cordova Schools has much to be proud of and we are excited to share it with you.

U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT HONORS 12 ALASKA HIGH SCHOOLS
A national magazine is out with its list of the top high schools in America, and a dozen in Alaska made the grade. They are Cordova, Craig, Homer, Klawock, Kotzebue, Mt. Edgecumbe, Petersburg, Polaris K12, Steller Secondary, Susitna Valley, Tok and Unalakleet. Local newspapers picked up the story and ran with it here:

The Cordova School utilizes our unique natural surroundings and active involvement of parents and community to provide a safe learning environment that offers challenging curricula and activities while developing successful, responsible citizens for the future.
VISION STATEMENT
The Cordova School District is committed to providing opportunities to challenge students to discover, set and pursue their goals. Students shall possess the academic and communication skills, character, personal discipline, and cultural awareness to contribute as responsible citizens. Furthermore, the district seeks to foster a continued desire for learning beyond the classroom and graduation.
